Jinkang Semiconductor has signed an agreement to establish its core components headquarters in WND. With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($71.94 million), the project will develop a full-chain facility covering R&D, manufacturing and testing, while also housing the company's national headquarters. It is expected to boost WND's capacity for localized supply of key semiconductor equipment components.
WND signed strategic cooperation agreements with BOCOM Investment and Bank of Communications' Wuxi branch on Jan 29. The deals include an Asset Investment Company fund and more financial cooperation with local companies like Zhongwei Mask Electronics, Lead Intelligent, GEM, and Solinteg Power. The collaboration aims to bring sustained financial backing to the district's innovation ecosystem.
WND officials made field visits to communities in Taihu and Huazhuang subdistricts, as well as Jinkui Park, on Jan 28, to better understand local governance and public services. They also heard briefings and set clear priorities for the next stage of development.

Wuxi's Central Ring Road hits a milestone. The Gaolang Road Phase II service road opened on Jan 25, easing congestion at the canal crossing and improving connectivity with Linghu Avenue, Yunhe West Road, Chengnan Road, and other key north-south routes.

The underpass frame for Wangzhuang Road has been installed beneath the Shanghai-Nanjing Railway with perfect alignment. Once finishing works are complete, Wangzhuang Road will open as a six-lane, two-way route, improving traffic flow ahead of Spring Festival.
